Decimal 2.50 = Fractional 3/2 = American +150. If the bet wins, total return is ৳1,250 (৳750 profit + original ৳500). If the bet loses, ৳500 is gone.
Example 2 — Bet on Team B to win (favourite), stake ৳500
Decimal 1.80 = Fractional 4/5 = American −125 (American minus odds show how much you need to stake to win ৳100). A ৳500 bet returns ৳900 (৳400 profit).
Simple rule for reading decimal odds
Multiply the decimal odds by your stake to get the total return (including your stake). The value can never go below 1.00 — which means 1.00 equals exactly your money back with no profit.
American plus and minus
+150 means ৳150 profit on a ৳100 bet. −125 means you need to stake ৳125 to make ৳100 profit. Minus odds mean that team is the favourite.
